On January 30, 2025, the opening ceremony of Singer Bangladesh Limited (Singer), the first tenant company of BSEZ, was held. Singer is a home appliance manufacturer under Koc Holding, the largest conglomerate in Turkey, produces refrigerators, televisions, and other products primarily for the domestic market in Bangladesh.

The ceremony was attended by governmental officials, including the Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh, the Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority and the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority, and the Minister at the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh. The event was conducted with great pomp and circumstance.

This opening ceremony marks a significant step in economic cooperation between Bangladesh, Turkey, and Japan. By supporting tenant companies such as Singer, BSEZ will contribute to the economic and industrial development of Bangladesh.
